SNTL 2027: Planning Together, Building Together
Build the future we all want to see
The Station North Tool Library was built on a simple idea- create a resource that reinforces that the more we share, the more we have.
For the past 13 years, we’ve been doing just that. Together, with the hands (and minds) of many, we have created a mutual aid project where over 20,000 people have borrowed tools, learned new skills, honed their skills, and gathered for events to share their knowledge. Together we have built a blueprint for an effective economy that relies on trust and kindness from those who take part.
Now we are thinking about what comes next. Our community has grown so much that it is time to invest in the people and planning that will guide the Tool Library to build the future we all want to see!
In 2027, we’ll embark on a comprehensive review of our community’s highest priorities and create plans to grow our programming and services to better meet them.
We want to build a strategic plan for a tool library where the tools and education you need are more accessible and relevant to your needs. Where the programming welcomes people from every neighborhood in Baltimore to improve their lives and engage their communities. Where we can collectively inspire one another to learn how to make what we want, repair what’s broken, and maintain what we already have.
We are raising $40,000 to build that future.
Your support gives us the capacity to listen, plan, experiment, and invest where it matters most. Together, we can build a stronger, more accessible and sustainable Tool Library—and a Baltimore where sharing skills, tools, and resources helps all of us thrive.
