Meet our current board
ARIAN L. TYLER
(she/her)
MEMBER AT LARGE
Senior Manager, Digital Media & Communications, NeighborWorks America
Arian is a digital marketing and strategic planning leader with 10+ years of driving results for nonprofits. Deeply committed to Baltimore, she sees SNTL as key to its growth. Her nonprofit experience, particularly in fundraising and community engagement, aligns with SNTL's mission. As a Black, Queer woman raised with a DIY spirit, she champions access and self-reliance. On the board, she'll prioritize equitable decision-making, ensuring SNTL sparks positive change across communities.
HAILEY JORDAN
(she/her)
CO-CHAIR
Information Designer
Hailey is a self-taught graphic designer with a BS in Neuroscience and Entrepreneurship from Johns Hopkins University, and trained in human-centered design at the Carey Business School. Her priorities in the co-creative process are to remain soft with people working within hardened systems, to honor and build upon centuries-long knowledge-sharing within BIPOC communities, and seek indicators of success that are reflective of the self-identified needs of a community.
LOU WILLIAMS
(they/she)
SECRETARY
Maryland Humanities, Operations Manager
Lou has spent nearly a decade working in nonprofit programming and administration, with a passion for creating collaborative workspaces where employees and volunteers have a role in co-creating environments that align with their values and aspirations. After moving to Baltimore from Southern Colorado, they are excited to connect with the Station North Tool Library community. Outside of work, you can find Lou throwing pottery, trying new recipes, and playing board games with friends. They are proud to share their home with Fish, a cat unanimously deemed the "World’s Greatest" by a panel of cat skeptics.
EMILY BREITER
(she/her)
MEMBER AT LARGE
Executive Director, Bromo Arts District | Director of Economic Development & Arts Initiatives, Downtown Partnership of Baltimore
Emily is a Baltimore area native who has been an active volunteer with Station North Tool Library since 2016, including staffing the library desk, serving on our resource development committee, and supporting special events. She is currently the Director of Economic Development for Downtown Partnership where she oversees arts initiatives and the Executive Director of the Bromo Arts District. When she isn’t walking around Downtown, you can find her on a bike during Baltimore Bike Party on the last Friday of the month.
JASON DEMBECK
(he/him)
TREASURER
Audit Manager, Kearney & Company
Jason has 15+ years of accounting experience in both the public and private sectors. After discovering the tool library, he signed up for every available class in one summer. Jason has been a member of the SNTL advisory committee since its inception in 2019 and transitioned to our board in 2022. Jason provides bookkeeping services and financial analysis so the Library can continue to grow and support the community.
SHELBY SWITZER
(they/them)
CO-CHAIR
Civic Technologist
Shelby is a community-oriented co-creator, physical and digital maker, and infrastructure enthusiast. They live in their favorite city (Baltimore, obviously) with a pitbull named Osceola who is adorable but admittedly kind of a punk. Shelby contributes a design-thinking and action-oriented approach to how the library helps solve community problems and fosters community space.
PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS
None of our work is possible without the generosity, warmth, and dedication of our amazing volunteer librarians, shop monitors, and tool fixers. Find out more about volunteering.
