Dave moved to Baltimore in 2021 and lives in Waverly, where he and his partner are slowly renovating their row home. He's the publisher of a nonprofit news outlet and brings a background in community organizing and cooperative business development to SNTL. He's excited to help steward a space built on shared tools, shared skills, and shared ownership.

IYA JACKSON

Director of Communications & Community Engagement, MD Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts

Iya is a lens-based creative & writer arriving in his adopted home town of Baltimore, MD by way of Little Rock, Arkansas. When paired with narrative writing and documentary works, his colorful, intimate portraiture provides a glimpse into the love, care & story of Black people in the American South and beyond. He is the author of Each World a Page and maintains a newsletter which explores themes of Blackness, wellness, masculinity and queerness. He also serves on Brown Boi Project's Advisory Board, as well as Movement for Black Lives Abolishing Patriarchal Violence table.

Matt is an attorney with a passion for music and woodworking. He first came to the Station North Tool Library to develop practical skills for maintaining his century-old house and quickly found a community that shares his appreciation for craftsmanship and creativity. His professional interests include privacy, civil liberties, and building systems that empower people while respecting their rights. He believes access to tools, knowledge, and creative spaces helps communities build confidence and solve problems together. As a board member, Matt hopes to support SNTL's mission by expanding accessibility and supporting the technology and systems that keep the library running.

Founder, Explore MD Cannabis

Keisha is a passionate entrepreneur and community advocate dedicated to fostering education, access, and equity in the cannabis industry. Through Explore Maryland Cannabis, she has built a space where professionals, business owners, and consumers can connect, learn, and thrive.

Outside of her work in cannabis, Keisha is an avid swimmer, wellness enthusiast, and a lover of storytelling. She enjoys curating experiences that bring people together, whether through immersive events, creative content, or thoughtful conversations.

Hailey is a Baltimore-based design strategist and visual artist creating irresistible invitations to necessary work. With a background in neuroscience and social design, she transforms complex information into accessible tools that equip communities to shape their own futures. She collaborates with community-rooted leaders to design experiences and tools that help people navigate systems, access opportunities, and take collective action. Her practice centers Black queer joy and collective imagination to shape liberated futures.

Emily is a Baltimore area native who has been an active volunteer with Station North Tool Library since 2016, including staffing the library desk, serving on our resource development committee, and supporting special events. She is currently the Director of Economic Development for Downtown Partnership where she oversees arts initiatives and the Executive Director of the Bromo Arts District. When she isn’t walking around Downtown, you can find her on a bike during Baltimore Bike Party on the last Friday of the month.

Clarissa is an artist and organizer who is passionate about nurturing connected and accessible communities. They have served as Librarian since 2023 and bring skills of community-driven policymaking, partnership development, and creative communications to activate community members towards social change. They love to connect over vegan food, ceramics, knitting, and the audacity to DIY anything & everything.

Cai is a CPA with a passion for practical skills and community resource sharing. Before entering public accounting, he worked as a chef, where he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and the tools that make good work possible. He believes access to tools and knowledge empowers people to build, repair, and create within their own communities. Through his involvement with SNTL, Cai hopes to support the organization’s mission of expanding access to shared resources and hands-on learning across Baltimore.  

MORGAN GROVE

Furniture Maker/ Scientist/ Educator, Camp Small Baltimore

Since first coming to Baltimore in 1989, Morgan has been in involved in a variety of community managed projects, including forestry, agriculture, and parks. As part of his work for the USDA Forest Service, he worked with the City to convert Camp Small from the City’s wood dump into a multi-purpose wood reuse program. SNTL is an exciting and important form of individual and community self-reliance, sustainability, and resilience. In addition to serving as a Board Member and Wood Shop Monitor, Morgan teaches a graduate course in urban ecology, has his own furniture business, and co-chairs Baltimore City’s Sustainability Commission.
